In these series bounderies between canvas and clothing are examined. With this serie possible bounderies between fashion and art will fade, 2d will deform to 3d an 3d will weaken to 2d. Clothing will no longer just serve as cover up and the data canvas might just be more usefull then being used before.
The serie is a tribute to the favorite piece of clothing by studio codex: The hooded sweater, and will develop to a number of conceptual 3d paintings with a distillate of a serie of sweaters. Also the serie has a narcistic edge, in this work not the present day men is the main subject, but the identitiy of studio codex.
The serie is a
search for identitiy and will hopefully find answers to questions like
“am i a designer or an artist?
who am i?, what do i do?
and what the fuck am i working on?"
At this point only one thing is
for sure: casual grey is the new black.
That’s why the serie will
completely be made in casual grey.
